I offer a Video Converter Software as a Paid Product that includes Executable Part and the Source Code. From a small talk I was reminded how important to start producing videos is. I’m also sharing here – some of the tools I have used or I am using – mine and free options from the Internet.
Video Converter from Program Tom Ltd
The tool I’ve developed – is not free, it is not the best, nor feature rich. It is actually dependent and it requires the external presence from the next package. You are free to skip it. I have my reasons to develop it. I’ve created an Online Platform that, if it evolves in the future, it will execute this tool in an automatic fashion – as a service.
FFmpeg
FFmpeg is Cross-Platform Open Source Software. My own program is a wrapper around it. Being a made for a Command Line, it is repackaged by several developers and companies as a GUI, as a Web Page or Web Service.
Audacity
Audacity is my favorite tool for editing Audio. The mostly used features within it – by me – are:
- Cropping – removing bad audio/speech moments.
- Removing background sound like – the running computer or general static noise – with Noise Reduction.
- Amplifier filter
- Export to MP3 (with the support of the Lame Encoding External Plugin
Mobile Media Converter
https://www.miksoft.net/mobileMediaConverter.php – It is an universal tool for non-tech users. It converts between all video (mkv, avi, mp4, wmv) formats and to mp3.
Movie Maker / Video Editor
Microsoft includes video editors with Windows. Movie Maker was included in the older versions of the OS. In Windows 10, it is called Video Editor and it is very much the same – with some visual and performance improvements.
Virtualdub
http://www.virtualdub.org/ – is another open source tool that I haven’t used recently. It has several filters and effects. I’ve used it in the past for rotating an original video files.
OpenShot
https://www.openshot.org/ – it is again – Open Source Video Editor equal to MS Movie Maker. I’ve personally used it under Ubuntu, but, it is also available for Windows and Mac.
OBS Studio
https://obsproject.com/ – Open Source Software for capturing your screen and your audio. Perfect for recording demonstrations, presentations and probably many more moments that you’ll want to save or share.
